Alongside stamping dies, Hailong Group makes plastic injection moulds and molded plastic parts. Mould parts are machined on the same CNC equipment used for our dies, and the group runs nine injection molding machines from 80T to 1400T for trial runs and production.

The range from 80T to 1400T covers small precision parts up to large molded parts, so a mould can be tried and run on our own machines.
Machining mould components
- 1614 high-speed machining center (X1600 / Y1400 / Z700 mm, 20,000 rpm), used for high-gloss mould inserts
- 1160 and 850 vertical machining centers (12,000 rpm) for precision small parts
- HMC100L horizontal machining center for mould bases and larger parts
- EDM, wire EDM and precision grinding machines
Checking the parts
Molded parts can be scanned with a handheld 3D scanner and compared directly with the CAD model, and our coordinate measuring machine is available for dimensional checks. More on our quality control page.

How a mould project runs
Injection mould projects follow the same planned process as our stamping dies:
- Quotation and contract: our engineers review your part data and confirm open questions before quoting.
- Quality management plan: each project gets a plan covering design, process programming, machining and assembly, and testing.
- Design and programming: the technology center designs the tool and prepares CNC programs.
- Machining and assembly: components are machined in house, then fitted and assembled.
- Test and delivery: the tool is tested and measured, and results are shared before it ships.
Raw materials are checked on arrival, the process is inspected along the way, and nonconforming parts are controlled, so problems are caught before trial shots.
Moulds and parts from one group
Because the group runs mold making, stamping, welding, assembly and coating, plastic parts can be sourced together with stamped metal parts and the dies that make them.
